Easypay Customizer

The Customizer is an optional product that integrates into Easypay Payroll to provide enhanced functionality.

Features:

Import Timecards

The most popular feature in the Customizer module is the ability to interface Easypay with external time clock software. Many electronic time clocks interface to Easypay. Please check with your time clock vendor to confirm that their software can be configured to interface with Easypay.

Import Employees

The Customizer allows you to update or create Easypay employee records by importing employee information from external systems.

Export Data / Custom Reports

You can export data from Easypay or create custom reports based on your selection of Easypay files and data fields. ASCII data files can be generated and then imported by a spreadsheet, word processor or other software application.

Enhanced Click-n-Pick Report

The Customizer adds an extra option to the Click-n-Pick report generator that allows you to include departmental costing data in Click-n-Pick reports.

Customizer Demo Download

If you would like to try out the Customizer, instructions for installing the Customizer demo version are provided below.

Please note:

• Easypay must already be installed in order to use the Customizer demo.
• The demo version of the Customizer has some limitations. Please see the list of limitations at the bottom of this page.

Download and installation instructions: Customizer Demo

1. Click this button to download the file epcusv2d.exe (410 KB):

   Download

2. Open the folder into which you downloaded the file — it is usually the Downloads folder.
3. Double click the file epcusv2d.exe.
4. You should now see the Easypay Customizer installation window. Follow the instructions as they appear on your screen.

Limitations of the Customizer demo version:

Timecard Import

This feature can be used until a maximum of five Regular or Quick payrolls that include imported timecards have been closed/posted. (Note to developers who need to test the timecard import process: timecards can be imported an unlimited number of times as long as the payroll is not closed/posted.)

Employee Import

Employee records can only be imported if the Easypay employee file is empty.

Export Data / Custom Reports

You can only use a macro file that is named PDKDEMO.MAC. This macro can be deleted and re-created, but you are limited to the same macro file name.

Enhanced Click-n-Pick Report

When using the Departmental Costing option in the Click-n-Pick report generator, you can only save a report if the Report ID is entered as Costing Demo Report. You can delete an old Click-n-Pick departmental costing report and then create a new one, but you are limited to the same Report ID.
